In animal studies, Tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC). It is unknown if Tirzepatide causes MTC in humans. Patients should be counselled on the potential risk of MTC and symptoms of thyroid tumors. Serious warnings also include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems (including gallstones), acute kidney injury, severe gastrointestinal disease, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), and serious hypersensitivity reactions. Discuss any pre-existing conditions or concerns with your healthcare provider.

Tirzepatide Kwikpen is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). It is also contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Tirzepatide or any of its components. Consult your healthcare provider for a complete list of contraindications.

The most common side effects associated with Tirzepatide Kwikpen include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal pain. These side effects are often mild to moderate and tend to decrease over time as your body adjusts to the medication. Inform your healthcare provider if any side effects are severe or persistent.

Tirzepatide can delay gastric emptying, which may affect the absorption of orally administered medications. Caution should be exercised when co-administering oral medications that require rapid gastrointestinal absorption. Patients taking oral contraceptives should consider using a non-oral contraceptive method or adding a barrier method for a specified period after starting Tirzepatide and after each dose escalation. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking.

Before starting Tirzepatide Kwikpen, discuss your complete medical history with your healthcare provider, especially if you have a history of thyroid cancer, pancreatitis, kidney problems, or severe gastrointestinal disease. Monitor for symptoms of serious side effects such as severe abdominal pain, signs of gallbladder issues, or allergic reactions. This medication is not for use in patients with type 1 diabetes. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Always use Tirzepatide Kwikpen exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
